Our Mexican banana cream pie is inspired by the beloved Mexican dessert “Plátanos Enmielados.” It starts with a layer of silky vanilla pastry cream, followed by tender bananas caramelized in rich Mexican piloncillo sugar, then topped with another layer of pastry cream. Finished with a cloud of fresh whipped cream, it’s a warm and sweet twist on the classic banana cream pie.
