Pie-Making Class at I Love Pie Bakeshop: Banana Cream Pie
Join us at I Love Pie Bakeshop for a hands-on pie-making class featuring one of the most beloved classics: a silky, creamy banana pie nestled inside a golden, flaky pastry crust and finished with a cloud of freshly whipped cream.
In this 2.5 hour workshop, you'll learn the art of pie-making from scratch, starting with a live demonstration of our signature all-butter pie dough. Then it’s your turn: you’ll mix, roll, and shape your own crust by hand, learning essential techniques for creating a beautiful single-crust pie.
Next, I'll demonstrate how to make our rich and silky pastry cream, and we'll talk about the techniques that create a smooth, creamy filling with the perfect consistency. While the pastry cream cools, you'll learn how to blind bake your pie crust, ensuring a crisp, golden shell that holds up beautifully to the creamy filling.
Once your crust and pastry cream are ready, you'll assemble your own banana cream pie, layering fresh bananas with the cooled pastry cream. I'll also demonstrate how to make fresh whipped cream, which you'll spread over the top of your pie for the perfect finishing touch.

Due to our small class sizes, each reservation secures a spot that cannot be easily filled on short notice. However, reservations are transferable, if you are unable to attend, you may send someone else in your place. Please notify us in advance if you choose to transfer your reservation.
